Frequently Asked Questions
-
Night sky experiences are weather dependant, and clear skies are essential to our experiences. If cloud cover affects the visibility of the night sky, the experience may need to be cancelled. Please be aware of this when booking.
We monitor forecasts closely and will send you an email by 12 noon on the day of your booking (or up to 48 hours before) to let you know if your experience will be going ahead. Thank you for your understanding with this.
In the case of a cancellation, we will offer a voucher/credit, which is transferrable, valid for any of our tours, and can be used anytime within the next three years. If you would prefer to discuss rescheduling for an alternative date or request a refund, you are welcome to reach out to us via reply email within 24 hours of the cancellation. -
Ensure you are warm and comfortable for your experience. Temperatures can drop significantly after dark. We recommend layered clothing, closed-toe shoes, a jacket, and potentially even gloves and a beanie to stay comfortable throughout the session - especially in winter.
Blankets and a hot drink will be available on the night. Lounge chairs will also be provided for all guests if you need to sit down at any point.
You don’t need to bring anything else but your sense of adventure and curiosity! -
Due to the equipment involved and the topics covered, we have found that children need to have at least a basic understanding of the objects in our solar system to get the most out of our experiences. For this reason, we have minimum age requirements:
For our Stargazing Experience, the minimum age is 7.
For our Hands-On Astronomy, the minimum age is 10.
Children (up to 15 years of age) need to be accompanied by a paying adult. -
A selection of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and treats will be available for you to enjoy.
-
While the experience itself does not include walking, there is a short walk from the meeting point to the stargazing site (and to the bathroom) on grass. This will be guided by an astronomer using dark sky lighting.
Some telescope angles may require the use of a small step ladder may to view through the eyepiece properly.
Chairs will be provided for all guests if you ever feel the need to sit down. Please contact us if you have accessibility concerns. -
We want to offer the best experience possible to our guests and we believe that is best accomplished through small, intimate groups. If you are interested in booking for a larger group, please submit a Private Booking enquiry.
-
Alcohol is strictly prohibited during our experiences. If you appear to be intoxicated during the tour, you will be asked to leave and no refund will be provided.
All of our experiences are non-smoking events. This includes vaporizers and e-cigarettes.
