Clear skies are essential to our experiences, so we monitor forecasts closely. If we feel conditions won’t meet our astronomers expectations for an amazing night, we’ll refund/reschedule at no cost or offer a gift voucher valid for 12 months.

You’ll receive a forecast update 48 hours in advance, and a Go/No-Go confirmation by midday on the day of your booking.

Temperatures can drop significantly once the sun goes down so it is important to bring layers of warm clothes, particularly a beanie or gloves! We will also have blankets available on request.

You don’t need to bring anything other than warm clothes and a sense of adventure! Lounge chairs will be provided for all guests if you ever want to sit down.

Due to the equipment involved and the topics covered, we have found that children need to have at least a basic understanding of the objects in our solar system to get the most out of our experiences.

For our Stargazing Experience, the minimum age is 8.
For our Hands-On Astronomy, the minimum age is 10.

We offer a selection of local Montville Coffee & Tea, Chocolate Country hot chocolate and Montville Bakehouse cookies for our guests.

Alcohol is strictly prohibited during our experiences. If you appear to be intoxicated during the tour, you will asked to leave and no refund will be provided.

You will be required to walk a short distance on concrete and grass in the dark while being guided by our astronomers to the telescope site. At some telescope angles, a small step ladder may be required to view through the eyepiece properly. Reclining chairs will be provided for all guests if you ever feel the need to sit down. Please contact us if you have accessibility concerns.
